Since the Society secured the title to the depot in September 1983, it has spent $47,000 to relocate the buildings, make repairs necessary to prevent its further deterioration, and restore the Hygeia Cottage. An additional $25,000 in architects fees and related expenses have been disbursed.

We welcome donations of any amount, area businesses, corporations, and lending institutions are urged to contribute an amount commensurate with their interest in and commitment to the improvement of cultural life in North Mobile County. We hope for a very broad base of support, however, from individuals who may be able to make smaller gifts.

Currently, tours are available by calling Alma Johnson at (251) 866-5742 or Glenn Vernon at (251) 866-2236.  Memberships are available at yearly rates of $10.

The museum is open every Saturday from 10 - 2 p.m.
