RAILROAD MUSEUM
Citronelle was founded in the 1800's. The
Mobile and Ohio Railroad was responsible for bringing about the development of the
small town. Citronelle became of the hottest resorts in the country during that
time because of its natural healing springs. Transportation to Citronelle;
however, was difficult until the railroad made its way through town. Today, the
railroad museum, which is the original station built in 1903, serves as a reminder
of how Citronelle became established as a small town in the South.
